Small Dean, Buckinghamshire, UK. 26 February, 2021. HS2 have felled a big area of hazel coppice formerly home to dormice. They have also felled many of the trees in the medieval Spinney in Small Dean Lane near Wendover, Aylesbury. Entire eco systems were being destroyed by HS2 today as they put trees they have felled into a wood chipper filling up a huge juggernaut with wood chips. High Speed Rail 2 are carving a huge scar across the Chilterns an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for the controversial rail link from London to Birmingham. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy
