Schrammsteine The Schrammsteine are an elongated, heavily jagged group of rocks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, east of Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland. They extend over around 12 km² and offer spectacular views and challenging climbing routes. The Schrammsteine are divided into the Vordere and Hintere Schrammsteine, with the highest point being the Hohe Torstein at 425 m above sea level. The region is known for its impressive rock formations and is a popular destination for hikers and climbers. Torsteine The Torsteine form the western end of the Schrammsteine and consist of the Vorderer, Mittlerer and Hoher Torstein. This group of rocks is known for its steep towers and offers both climbers and hikers impressive challenges. The Middle Torstein reaches a height of 424 m and is accessible via various climbing routes. The Torsteine are separated from each other by the Große Schrammtor and other climbing rocks. Falkenstein The Falkenstein is one of the most striking freestanding rocks in Saxon Switzerland and is located near Bad Schandau, in front of the Schrammsteine. At m above sea level, it is almost 100 meters high and is made of sandstone. The Falkenstein is a historically significant climbing rock, which was first climbed by gymnasts from Schandau in 1864.
