What better investment can a farmer have than corn ^'^ stalks "and plow "shares?" If *'it paid" to clear a portion of the farm, why not make yet further improvements and get a largei return from it ? Farms do not clear themselves. At least I know of none that have done so, nor do I know of any super- human aid diat will do the work, although I believe that our globe revolves.
