Solar panels on City Hall, London, UK. Photovoltaic solar panels being installed on the roof of City Hall in August 2007 to provide power for the building, converting light into electricity with no waste and no emissions. City Hall is a modern glass building that was originally designed by Sir Norman Foster to be as energy efficient as possible. It is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority and the Mayor of London, and is situated on the south bank of the River Thames.
