Hannah Mathers is the nursery crops research horticulturalist with the dual responsibility of managing the applied nursery crop research program and to providing technical information and advice to growers, commodity organizations and others involved in the ornamental industry. Born and raised in Exter, Ontario, Mathers worked as a forestry technician for four years after graduating from the diploma course at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. She received an associate agriculture diploma from University of Cuelph in 1980 and then a from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 1986.
