The Brigata Sassari memorial stone. The strong-mindedness of the Sardinian soldiers played an important role in the conquest of the Trincea delle Frasche. On the memorial stone one can read that 13,000 soldiers of the 'Sassari' died and 18,000 were wounded from 1915 to 1918. One can also read the list of the brigade's honourable mentions : 4 golden medals to their regiments (the 151st and the 152nd), 9 personal golden medals, 286 silver medals and 425 bronze medals.
