The tract secured contained about fif-teen acres, magnificently adorned by noble speci-mens of the primeval forest trees, the black walnutspecies predominating. The natural undergrowthhaving been removed, in a few years the wholecampus was adorned by the spontaneous appear-ance of a beautiful blue grass sward. A large part of the campus was donated to thecollege by Elias B.
