Rivers flowing through the Canyons of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah, USA, rimmed by Cottonwoods with their golden autumn foliage. The photo is taken from the Hogback portion of Highway 12, were it travels over the narrow spine of a mesa with canyons on either side. These are created by Boulder creek and Calf Creek respectively. This part of the highway is known as the million dollar road.
