Maui, Hawaii, Upcountry, Ulupalakua Store & Grill
Ulupalakua is an area of upcountry Maui which has a long history as farm land growing sugar cane, cattle and now wine grapes. The land is still used for ranching with a large tract set aside for preservation of its agricultural heritage. The Ulupalakua Ranch Store & Grill is also part of the historic narrative and is open daily with Maui-grown produce as well as Ranch-grown lamb, beef and elk served fresh from the grill. Over at the checkout counter are even more eclectic items. Note the deer head on the wall. And the second model of the store (probably post-renovation). And mugs if you want a cheap gift for Aunt Agnes.
