The Club will put some boats in the coming season, and cut a trail through from Wooburn. Thereis alreadjr a trail leading from the bog southward along the Magalloway Kiver to Parmachenee Lake. This bog is the home of the caribou and moose, and offers the best grounds for hunting large in the fall of the year will find Arnold Bog a veritable sportsmans Paradise. The bog isabout fifteen miles south of Wooburn village, and ten miles west of the Seven Ponds, and about twelvemiles north of Parmachenee Lake. It is very rarely visited from the Canadian side of the boundary,althoua,h on Canadian TROUT LAKE. ROOT Lake is about Ave miles, in an easterlj direction, fromthe head of Lake Megantie, and is situated in the township ofClinton, near the town line of Marston. There is no directtrail cut from Megantie; and the lake is usually reached bycrossing Lake Megantie from Three Lakes, and driving backupon the government road about three miles from Mr. Evansresidence upon Megantie to the farm of Mr. Cusineau, a Frenchsettler, from whose place a tramp of two miles will cover thedistance to the lake. The route is very hilly, but affords anexcellent view of the surrounding country, the scenery alonebeing worth the tramp in. The lake is situated at the base ofa very steep hill, over which the trail passes, is in shape andsize very much like L Pond, of the Seven Ponds group, withas good a reputation for trout fishing.
