At the first the tourist experiences muchdifhculty in breathing, the extreme light-ness of the air trying the lungs to their ut-most capacity, but becoming accustomedto the change, and inhaling long draughtsof ihe pure mountain air, will greatly pre-fer it to a heavier atmosphere.
