Ms. Mindy Simonson, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) Scientific Recovery Expert, and Ms. Nicole Rhoton, DPAA Historian, investigate possible aircraft wreckage in Ulingan village, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea on Oct. 6, 2022. DPAA leadership visited the investigation team (IT) in order to see first hand the unique dynamics of an IT and strengthen future operations. DPAA’s mission is to achieve the fullest possible accounting for missing and unaccounted for personnel to their families and the nation.
