Miss Pick Up as she is affectionly known, is a Consolidated PBY Catalina, probably the best seaplane to have been built in America. The Catalina served with distinction in the Second World War, notably locating the Japanese Fleet at Midway the Battleship Bismark and numerous attacks on U-Boats. Two Victoria Crosses were awarded to pilots of the Catalina.
