This method of treating new growthsof the tonsil with radium emanationburied interstitially was first introducedin our work over five years ago by thelate Doctor H. H. Janeway and hasproven of inestimable value. It has been our experience that, incomparison with other intra-oral neo-plasms, those of the tonsil are particu-larly susceptible to radium. This maybe due to the fact that in young sub-jects the active lymphoid tissue exertsa strong defensive force, while in later.
