A parachutist from The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment's Parachute display team - "The Tigers" at "Wings and Wheels" air show


The Tigers are the flagship parachute display team for the Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment, which has the distinction of being the senior English Infantry Regiment of the line. Soldiers of the Regiment are recruited from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. Members of The Tigers consist of volunteers from various battalions of the The Tigers were formed over 20 years ago and are firmly established as one of the top parachute display teams within the United Kingdom. The team has been very successful in competitions throughout this period, performing at events such as the British National Parachute Championships and the World Parachute Championships. The Tigers perform displays throughout the country the majority of which would be carried out within the recruiting area mentioned above. The Soldiers' Charity (previously The Army Benevolent Fund [ABF]) has been their official sponsor for a number of years.
