The dark cloud that has rested of late over our work in the Micronesianislands, has not dampened the enthusiasm nor extinguished the desire in theheart of one of our dear young ladies to go thither and jDreach or tell thegospel story to these dark islanders in the far Pacific. Miss Louisa Wilson,of Tonoma, has recently received her appointment from the American BoJirdfor this field. She is supported and lovingly adopted by the Womans Boardof the Pacific. She is a young lady of winning address and of earnest pur-pose. This is the fourth that has gone from our own State on this blessedmission, having received their inspiration right here. Three of them arenative Californians—Miss Gunnison, Miss Denton, and Miss Wilson. Allthis proves that California atmosphere and climate are not altogether inimi-cal to the missionary spirit.
