The port of Felixstowe is the largest container port in the UK and is one of the largest in Europe. Trinity Quay spans miles, making it the longest quayside in Britain, this together with Felixstowe's deep water, gives the port the ability to accommodate the largest containers vessels in operation. The port is run by Hutchison Whampoa Port Holdings with much of the land owned by Trinity college, Cambridge.
