View looking through an open gate into a field beside the River Torridge in North Devon. This field is on the Devon Wildlife Trusts, Halsdon Nature Reserve. A selection of grasses are growing here and the field is surrounded by a variety of broad leaf trees. The River Torridge is the setting for Henry Williamson’s book, ‘Tarka the Otter’. It is still a great place to see otters.
