"This section of the state is extending its planting very considerably. Per- sonally we believe there is more money to be made on the finer varieties of avocado and mango than there is with either oranges or grapefruit. The avocado does not require nearly so much care and attention, and so far is practically free from all insect pests, nor does it require the amount of fertilizer that a citrus tree does.
