Cienfuegos, the capital of Cienfuegos Province, is a city on the southern coast of Cuba, around 250 km from Havana, with a population of 150,000. The city is called La Perla del Sur (The Pearl of the South) and Cienfuegos is literally translated as 'one hundred fires'
