What with boiled, roastedplantains and porridge, they must have consumed animmense number. Probably each man had eaten 140plantains during the three days. Within a short time after leaving Andikumu onthe 19th, we passed through Anduta ; and then thecolumn passed by a picturesque hill called Kakwa,over a rough country bristling with immense rockfragments and boulders thickly covered, and surroundedwith depths of ferns.
