Bournemouth, Dorset, UK 1September 2016. Bournemouth Pier glows gold to raise awareness of childhood cancer, a poignant tribute to children fighting cancer and those who have lost their battle. People are invited to buy and light tealights for a ceremony and to stand in the shape of the childhood cancer awareness ribbon on the beach for the switch on. The event, the first of its kind in the county, was organised by Vicky Turner, whose daughter Isabel Baker died from leukaemia on 12 August 2015, days after her first birthday.
