MANAMA, Bahrain (June 14, 2017) Capt. Darren B. Guenther, left, commanding officer of Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain and Capt. Cory R. Howes, previous commanding officer, cut a cake following a change of command ceremony, 14 June. As the persistent shore presence in the Arabian Gulf, NSA Bahrain provides an operational platform for , allied, and partner nations to have a forward deployed naval force ready to be where they are needed, when they are needed to ensure security and stability in the region.
