TheAlley platform itself is 250 feet long and 80 feet wide,and, as stated, runs north and south. It is covered witha light iron roof and surrounded by a picket fence 7 feethigh. The platform is divided by two tracks 36 feetapart, making a center platform 36 feet wide and twoside platforms each 22 feet wide. The track runs within30 feet of the platform on the south side. The system briefly described is a complete interchange oftraffic from the Alley L, the intramural elevated, the greatterminal station and the Exposition grounds. Engineer-ing skill, executive brains, and money have not beenspared to make the arangement not only a complete sys-tem of terminal transfer and discharge, but also one ofthe most complete and interesting exhibits on the grounds. The last section of the Elevated extension into Jack-son Park has been placed and a large force of men hasbeen steadily at work and has now almost completed
