As far as powders are concerned, we prefer thewhite nitro compounds, as black powder, even if it hitsharder, generates so much smoke that it is a nuisancein heavy weather. No shot should be without a supplyof brass cartridge cases. They can be charged severaltimes, do not stick or jam in the gun, and hit much harderthan cardboard cases.
