A trophy skull of the Dayak people, Borneo Elaborately decorated skull, the entire skullcap profusely carved with ornamental reliefs. Skull with dark brown, partially rough patina. Teeth in the upper jaw partially preserved. Eye sockets and temporal bones with distinct traces of age. Height 15 cm. The Dayak people are the indigenous population of the island of Borneo and comprise several hundred ethnic groups, some of which vary considerably in language, culture and lifestyle.
