Coloured laser beams line up on the neck of an 80 year old male patient undergoing radiotherapy (radiation treatment) for throat cancer (laryngeal carcinoma). This machine uses a linear accelerator to produce X-rays that are targeted at the tumour. The head mask keeps the patient still.
