Portrait of Louise Sébastienne Danton, nee Gely, 1777 - 1856, second wife of French revolutionary Georges Danton whom she married when she was 16. With her is Danton's son, unidentified but most likely Antoine. They are looking at engravings through an optical device known as a zograscope which gave depth to images viewed through it.
