British Railways Mark 1 was the family designation for the first standardised designs of railway carriages built by British Railways between 1951 and 1963. .Although withdrawn from the British railway network from 2010, a small number of companies have waivers to operate Mark 1 carriage stock on railtour duties. They are also widely used on heritage railways around the UK
