Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn staged its annual Battle of Brooklyn recreation, complete with cannon & musket fire, with re-enactors wearing British & colonial period uniforms performing on the cemetery lawn. After the battle, troops led the way to Battle Hill where a brief ceremony took place, with wreaths put into place honoring the 400 Maryland infantry who endured some 70% casualties attacking British positions on the hill top.
