Whether this is better than Minuet or Berty Snow is a matter of taste. Color is some- what different. Fine either for exhibition or as a commercial. DR. NELSON SHOOK. (K) (Ex) (Com) Deep tyrian rose, little lighter shade than Taro. Very strong grower. Large strong spikes with several blooms open. The best in its color and a very fine variety. DR. STARKWEATHER. (K) (Ex) (Com) Deep lavender rose with large red blotches like Mrs. Pendleton. Tall strong grower. EARLY PHIPPS. (Ellis) (Dec) Somewhat similar to Phipps but smaller and much earlier. ECSTASY. (K) (Dec) Dark cherry red with blotches on all six petals. Very odd and distinct. EDITH MASON. (Vaughan) (Ex) (Com) Large light pink with white throat and white mid-ribs. Strong grower. A very fine variety. EDITH ROBSON. (Brown, Australia) (Ex) (Com) Light salmon rose with red blotch. Very tall, strong growing plant with huge spike of bloom. This is one of the very finest things that has come from Australia and when stock is available will be in very big demand. Good propagator. EIGHTH WONDER. (K) (Dec) Deep smoky old rose. Very large flowers and massive foliage. Very nice but late. ELLA DAY. (Carpenter) (Dec) Immense light pink, sometimes flecks darker. Fine. ELROSE. (K) (Dec) Pale pink flaked rose. Cherry red blotch. General effect is pink and white striped. EMBLEM
