Crude oil tanker. Close-up of the bow of a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) in a dry dock. This ship is a third of a kilometre long (approximately 330 metres). Crude oil carriers are among the largest tankers, with ultra-large crude carriers (ULCCs) reaching over 440,000 deadweight metric tons (DWT).
