Ted, the Signalman, in Signal Box, Watercress Line, Alresford, Hampshire UK

Known affectionately as The Watercress Line, Mid-Hants Railway Company opened this line in 1865, running between Alton and Winchester. British Rail closed it in 1973 and it now operates as a purely tourist route between Alresford and Alton [10 miles]. Annual visitors exceed 150,000 and the stations and trains evoke a bygone era.
