View SSE of the Pennant Mine engine house, Denbighshire, Wales, UK. Built by 1863 to house a steam-powered Cornish winding engine to pump water from the lead, silver & barytes mine workings. The mine shaft, in the fenced area immediately S (to rear) of the house, is deep, with a maximum diameter of at the top narrowing to 3m at the bottom. The house is built of local limestone blocks, it is a Grade II Listed Building.
