As, however, both our Cat-fislies have minute scales, while one has a filament in its mouth and the otherhas not, it seems to me impossible to keei> up this distinction. The adoptionof Dr. Haasts suggestion would necessitate the sepaiation of our Cat-fish intotwo genera, and add a third genus, where, I think, one is sufficient.
