Rawtenstall, Lancashire. 20th April 2014. Pendle Witches Vintage Velo charity cycle event. To celebrate the coming of the Tour De France arriving in Yorkshire July 2014, the Pendle Witches went for a classic and vintage tour feel with the third ride of the North West`s Vintage Sportif. An Easter Sunday showcase for some old classics of the cycling world.
The Pendle witches Vintage Velo is in its FIFTH year, there are two routes The Trial and The Cauldron. THE Trial is a challenging 53 mile circular route through Lancashire fells , Ribble Valley, and Trough Of Bowland taking in the climbs of Whalley Heights , Nick O' Pendle and Waddington Fell all used in previous Tour of Britain Races. All proceeds go to Stepping Stones Childrens Hospice Haslingden and Cancer Reasearch with entrance fees going to charity. Both Rides Started from the Craven Heifer Pub Burnley Road, Rawtenstall.
