Hundreds descend upon the beach at Camber Sands to celebrate the anniversary of Jamaican independence which occurred back in 1962. Fears of a second spike of Covid 19 seemed to be in the backs of peoples minds as social distancing became difficult at times. Police presence observe the crowds at a safe distance while reminding people to keep a safe distance where possible. Event organisers encouraged social distancing throughout the day and asked everybody to be as safe and tidy as possible and also made a £750 donation to local litter picking to assist with litter
