PACIFIC OCEAN (JAN. 13, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Kelly Pfaus, a native of San Antonio, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), blows into a boatswain’s pipe as the boatswain’s mate of the watch on the ship’s bridge. Pearl Harbor, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
