Neil Armstrong and David R. Scott in 1966. Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong and David R. Scott walking towards the elevator at Complex 19, Cape Kennedy, USA. The two astronauts were part of the Gemini 8 mission of manned spaceflights. They are wearing their Gemini spacesuits, made by the David Clark Company, these suits were modified versions of the high altitude suits worn by test pilots. The suits are connected by tubes to a life support oxygen and pressure pack. NASA's Project Gemini operated between 1962 and 1966 and launched a total of ten manned flights.
