[Map section 144 - Heathrow Airport Staines Feltham Hayes West Drayton]. Artist/engraver/cartographer: Phyllis Pearsall & Alexander Gross. Provenance: "Geographers' Atlas of Greater London"; published by Geographers' map co., Ltd, London. 1st edition. Type: Vintage colour street atlas map. The map shows the Bakerloo line running as far as Watford Junction (Tube services north of Harrow and Wealdstone ceased in 1982 after which this part of the line was served by British Rail). A proposed extension of the line then running from Old Street to Finsbury park is shown to Highgate, and an extension of the Bakerloo line from Elephant & Castle to Camberwell. The District line spur from Acton Town to South Acton, which closed in 1959, is shown.
