GENKAI-NADA SEA (October 29, 2018) Mineman Seaman Luis Correa, from San Diego, inserts a flag staff onto a float to during a mine sweeping training evolution aboard the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14). Chief, part of the Mine Countermeasures Squadron 7 and Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, is training to enhance its capabilities of finding, classifying and destroying moored and bottom mines.
