Girl on left is packing the shaken rags into a sheet for delivery to the shoddy works. In the background, men are charging the acid container on the carbonising plant with liquid hydrochloric acid." The woman on the left is actually standing in the 'sheet' (a very large sack), as she packs the rags into it
