Broadway St, the main street in Skagway, Alaska, has been preserved pretty much as it was during the gold prospecting days at the start of the 20th century. This was the main starting point for prospectors heading for the gold areas in the Yukon. Today, in summer the town is crowded with visitors coming of cruise liners.
