Blue-spotted mask-ray (Dasyatis kuhlii). This species is a small group of stingray with a dark band across their eyes. It is common in the Indo- West Pacific region over coral reefs and sand flats. They bury themselves in the sand on the seabed to hide from predators. They feed on hermit crabs, worms, shrimp and small fish and they can grow to a wingspan of around 40 cm. Photographed in Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
