Deputy missile combat crew commander-airborne from the 625th Strategic Operations Squadron, launching a simulated Minuteman III missile aboard a Navy E-6 Mercury during an operational test launch above the Pacific Ocean on the 25th of April 2017. The Minuteman III is the only land-based intercontinental ballistic missile in service in the United States.
