Watch probably ca. 1655–60 Watchmaker: Charles Bobinet Rock crystal was not the only mineral used for making watchcases, and Charles Bobinet was noted for supplying movements for cases of various kinds of hardstones. The cases often exploited the pattern of the stone, as is evident in this watch. Equally effective is the pristine enamel dial, clearly calibrated to show fifteen-minute intervals indicated by the single hand. These dials were derived from those of the enameled watchcases originally developed in Watch 194205
