Female portrait statues from Herculaneum known as the Herculaneum Women on display in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister (Old Masters Gallery) in Dresden, Germany. The Roman marble statue at the right known as the Large Herculaneum Woman dated from the middle of the 1st century AD. The Roman marble statue at the left known as the Small Herculaneum Woman dated from 20-10 BC. The statues were made after lost originals dated from ca. 330-320 BC and unearthed in Herculaneum in 1710-1711 among the earliest statues recovered at the site.
