Butler, , would be himselfthe first to smile at the chorus of meaningless praise from thereporters who had a private view of some of the results, andthe description of his invention given by them. We are still waiting for a process as simple as that of theautochrome to get our photographs in natural colors on paper,and I conclude these notes with the hope that I may have thepleasure of writing experiences of the as yet unknown processfor the readers of the next edition of the Annual. 142.
