OKINAWA, Japan (November 02, 2016) Maj. Gen. Richard L. Simcock II, commanding general of 3rd Marine Division, prepares to enter a P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft attached to the Golden Swordsmen of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47. VP-47 is currently deployed to the 7th Fleet Area of Operation (AOO) at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and to the 4th Fleet AOO at Comalapa, El Salvador.
