Female African leopard carrying cub in mouth, Masai Mara, Kenya

This female leopard was moving her 6-week-old cub from the birthing den to a new safe spot. She had already walked over a mile in the mid-day sun when we found her, and was still going when we left. She was walking across a large open area of mixed short and long grass, crossed three luggas (small ravines), and eluded four Cape buffalo.
